New Television Spot

With the election less than three weeks away, we’re bringing our vision for Seattle directly to city voters with our first televisions spot. The 30-second spots will appear on cable TV on a wide variety of stations, and we’ll be running spots everyday through the November 3 election.

Television is a great way to introduce my campaign and the ideas we have been working together to promote to undecided voters across the city who are just now beginning to pay close attention to this important race. In the spot that begins airing today, I talk about the importance of having a representative on Seattle City Council who has a background in finance and can ensure that our tax dollars are used for smart investments like expanding light rail and increasing affordable housing.

The spot is a reflection of my belief that we can win this election by focusing on positive messages. As I say in the spot, Seattle is a beautiful city—we have a lot to be proud of here, and a lot of great things we should work to support and improve. The challenge is to focus on the right priorities and to bring a new level of fiscal accountability to government so that we are investing in things that will make Seattle work for all of its citizens. This why I’m running for Seattle City Council.
